* In elevating expectations of how the 2015 Boxster should perform, Porsche has once again succeeded in creating an icon of automotive design. Large air intakes give the front a powerful appearance, while the side contour hints at the performance within. Clear glass halogen projection headlights with integrated turn signals are a showy, yet standard, feature. The long wheelbase and low, raked windshield are integral to forming the stretched, wedge-shaped silhouette. With the top up, this impression is reinforced by the extreme roofline and the automatic exterior rear spoiler that is not only a visual treat, but reduces lift. Large wheels, up to 20-inches in size, emphasize the wide track. The precise lines are more sharply defined than on previous Boxsters, and run elegantly across the fenders to the rear. The Boxster is powered by a choice of 3 engines including a 2.7L producing 265hp at 6,700RPM, a 3.4L producing 315hp at 6,700RPM in the S, and a 3.4L producing 330hp at 6,700RPM in the GTS. Transmission includes a six-speed manual or optional seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung transmission. The elevated center console cocoons the driver and reduces the distance from the leather steering wheel to the shift lever for fast and ergonomic gearshifts. The standard sport seats are comfortable and provide support even during performance driving. For even sportier elegance, optional leather packages allow for a stylish finish on purposefully selected interior features. The standard CDR audio system with four speakers and a seven-inch color touch screen enhances the driving experience and can be further elevated with the optional BOSE surround system. Safety is also pertinent with tire pressure monitoring, airbags, and Roadside Assistance Program for duration of the limited warranty. Source: The Manufacturer Summary

  • constantly being complimented

I have owned numerous luxury, sports and performance cars but none that draw the attention of this car. when out driving it is always complimented. Taking it on Wisconsin's rural roads is exhilarating. You don't have to go top end to have a ball driving this car. Taking corners and accelerating from them is fabulous. Make sure you have everything set before heading out as you will soon be in total attention mode. The car needs you to keep it on track.
  • Best vehicle I have ever owned

My 1998 Ford Mustang had finally had it after 18 years in the Arizona heat. The Boxster is the best car I have ever owned. The superior engineering is evident every time I get into the car. The ride, the performance, and the fun are top notch. While it is rated 20 MPG city, I am getting over 23 by not driving it like I am in a race. The engine is so powerful, this is the first stick I have driven where I cannot tell when to shift by feel alone because the engine can handle much higher speeds at each gear than optimal. A few small nits: there is a combined passenger weight limit (recommended) of 400 pounds) which I did not see or read about before I purchased the car), the temperature control fan is always on when I turn on the vehicle even if I had it off (this is for the standard equipment) and the key is set up so that it is hard to put it on a key ring without blocking access to the key used to get into the glove compartment. Every review I read before I bought this said it was a fun car to drive and my experiences have been consistent with those reviews.
  • The best

I traded a 2010 Boxster for a 2013 Boxster base. THe new car is superior in every way. The ride has improved immensely and the body structure is unbelievably solid. I live on North Michigan Ave in Chicago and drive in a lot of heavy traffic and the stop start function is incredible. The other feature of the PDK which is incredible is that it coasts on the highway when you back off your speed. the engine reves go to 1200 rpm and when you accelerate the car engine react instantaneously. The sport position on the transmission quicken acceleration response. Every little detail has been improved, e.i quality of the turning lever, the cup holders, interior design and quality. and last but not least the handling has been measurably improved. the car is a sublime driving experience!
